The auction doesn't mention near AM on the 1992's. He calls them all Wide AM's. The 1999 on it's own would be worth the price, but the 1992's should be wide AM's and are not transitionals.

      Bob:
My thoughts are the same - since the wide am boom for 1998,199,2000, ive noticed alot of people using the "Wide am" title when selling 1992's.
      Thanks

Thanks, I NEVER READ the fine print.....(sigh)

        Hope it's a good 99.

Just for information, the 1999 wide AM is not a transitional coin either. Nor is the 1998 or the 2000 wide AM Lincoln cents.

            I hope it will transition...

into a cheap purchase which belongs to me.
Intriguing comment on these, you are so right, they are NOT "transition" coins at all, but actual mistakes. The 1992's are just 1992's so I am hoping the 99 is gem. The last one I saw on EBAY and missed was just awesome, part of a charity effort, as I recall. I went shopping, forgot and, well, that was that. Hope this is the one...good luck all.

              Outbid again...

Someone wanted that 99 more than me I guess. Wait'll next time. Was it someone here? If so, congrats, .

                Not Wide AM's

The seller mistook them, and has graciously taken them back. Thanks everyone for the heads up on the 92's being the regular cents. Made me look closely at the 99.

Very cool that things worked out. Well...how was the 1999? I'm sure it was well worth the price.

                    Not a wide am 99!

Got punked. But, as I saw some unusual bidding, I did not pay, and brother was I glad I did not. I was worried when they mailed before the payment was completed two days later. But they were totally honest...so I was not out anything.

I once received 8 1970 S Large Dates advertised as Small Dates. As long as you get your money back..it was worth the gamble.
