I think it might be anyways... Not certain which one though.

Looks promising, and I would say it is. I didn't see a match for it on coppercoins.

Yes! That is definitely a very nice rpm! Good work! I'm sure that one is listed.

It certainly looks like one but a's someone else said. "I give up trying to figure out 1980's rpm's."

I don't know for sure, but according to CC, there are two D/D South RPM's. One is 1MM-001, and the other is 1MM-010. Can you find any die markers for either on CC.?

It kind of does resemble 001. Guess they only way to really determine is by MM placement as the listing has no verifiable markers due to the circulated state of the coin photographed.

I just layered the photos and looks like a match. :)
It's interesting how differently they look though.

Very cool and nice find! That close up shot is amazingly clear too!

I'm 99% sure that's the -001. An excellent and very rare find!

They look very much the same Scott- the difference you're seeing is die state. Yours is a more clearly defined earlier state and a well struck coin.

Looks like 1986-D #1. The lower serif is slightly different, but die wear can account for that. Location and spread look correct.
