Anyone know where I can get a list that descibes or has pictures to any Newcomb Varieties for Large Cents. Preferably the 1825.
I just want to find out which one I have, after seeing the one that just made the news.
Thanks
Frank, this link to the whole story says it all. I read another story that said it was valued (at a G-4) tentatively at $10,000!! Apparantly a rare combination of Obv. and Rev. dies.

Nice story. I have about 20 large cents from the early 1800s and now reading the story it makes me think before I sell them. I have never heard of a 4 or 10. I might have to get a book on this. I have 5 that are maybe a high AU. Thanks for the info.

Frank, let me know if you do get that book. I've looked around on the internet for info, and looks like nothing 'free'. I may get a book someday too if I get some more of these coins.
