here is a coin which i believe to be the 1MM-003 as listed at coppercoins site. there are no matching additional die markers. the questions basically are 1) does anyone else think this is the 1MM-003, and 2) how does one determine if the die state is earlier or later, and therefore account for the missing die markers? i posted the same coin and questions on a different forum and go no responses.
1970D 1MM-003 (i think) w/qiestions

I will use my very limited knowledge to try to help you a little bit with your question about the markers and die stage. As I understand it: It can be very tricky to determine if a die stage is earlier or later just because a marker is missing. Obviously, as a die gets older, it is more prone to develop scratches, chips, gouges, etc. However, if you don't see a particular marker, it doesn't necessarily mean you are looking at an earlier die stage, because these things can also be polished away and disappear again in later stages. The die stages are determined by experts by looking at signs of deterioration, die flow, and other mysterious things I can only hope to someday understand. I am sorry I can't say more, and hope what I said is generally correct and helpful. All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects. Results may vary. Offer not valid in New Jersey.Comment

No question the coin is an RPM. I can see that easily in the images. I do think this one could be a new one - possibility is there.Charles D. Daughtrey, NLG, Author, "Looking Through Lincoln Cents"

Nice (probably tilted) RPM find and good luck with the listing.
