Hi everyone! I hope your evening is going great! Since simmon recently had a worn coin contest, I thought I'd do the opposite and have a BU contest. Here are the rules:

1. All wheats from before 1950 are eligible, although I would like to seee all wheats, just that pre 50 BUs are less common.

2.Actually, that is the only rule i think.

There is no prize, just glorry!

Thank you all,

Alex

Casey, was that 1916 a 'mercury' penny? I have one like this. I tried cleaning it, but it keeps toning to a light green, like silver. I think mine is a 1919S.

I was told it was probably solder. Though i never tested anything.

Thanks. I'll have to send you a pic of mine. (thought I had a silver planchet for a minute!) But you can see where someone scratched it deep enough to expose the copper underneath.

These coins on this thread are fantastic!! Do they have to be from a find? Or a purchase is okay?

A purchase is fine, and in fact, anything is fine as long as the coin belongs to you.
