Another good find, Roger. You are a machine. I personally have a very tough time believing this is actually a doubled die, but it is an interesting anomaly nonetheless. Anyone else have a problem with this variety or is it just me?

Yes, I think it is a doubled die... until they go and debunk it like the big doubled eyelid. Funny how they always debunk something just the minute before I find one in the wild! :(

That's another beautiful find Rog! It's listed as one of the most controversial doubled dies out there but I read somewhere that doubling is evident in 12 different places on the obverse?? That would make a pretty strong case for a real DDO to me. Excellent work as always!

CPG says they don't believe it's a doubled die...but still a cool coin either way..nice find!

Very nice find and the coin looks in great condition. Like the others have said you do find the best coins from a brick. You are a magnet for attracting such great finds.

Here is the article that was written by Ken Potter concerning the additional areas of doubling on this variety. I don't know of too many variety experts that don't think this is a doubled die.
