What do you all think RPM or MD, it looks real close to 1987D-1MM-001. The reverse die scratches match on CC but not the obverse. I am leaning towards MD.
Looks like 1987D-1MM-001 to me. Weird that only the obverse markers match, but I would say you have one.
EDIT: After seeing what everyone else has to say, with the wrong MM position and flat doubling, I'll change my answer to MD. I guess it KINDA looked like it on coppercoins, but determining an RPM from just a picture isn't the best way to determine one.

Because photos are a terrible way to analyze a coin, I would be inclined to say MD. As to not matching markers on the obverse but matching on the reverse could just mean a different die state.

What led me to believe it might be MD is the primary mint mark seems to be a little smaller than the secondary. It is shifted west on the top but is level with the bottom, correct?

Actually, I am changing my response. You analysis of this MD sound correct to me.
Edit: I was changing what I intended to post here. I am not changing my mind. I still feel it is MD. I was just going to analyze why I felt MD but the OP beat me to it. Way to analyze your own coin Paul.
I did, and all I could match is the horizontal die scratches under both sides of the memorial. The marker on the obverse, ( a vertical die scratch in front of lincoln's forehead) is not there.
This one would best be looked at in hand against a known copy of the RPM, and maybe an overlay. I am thinking it is MD, but I have been wrong twice this year already!
