Here's a 1953 D 1C with what appears to be an RPM, but could be a MDD. Opinions, Thoughts?

Pat,
There is a 1953D RPM that is very similar in the position of the MM. With the wear it is hard to say but here is one that I picked a while back. I believe the coppercoins.com designation is 1953D 1MM-001.

The shelf like appearance of the doubling would make it MDD. It is also on the date.

Looks exactly like RPM 1 to me. Check out the picture of the same coin that Wexler is selling on Ebay.

Just did an overlay, comparing Pat's coin and Wexler's coin. Pat's coin is RPM-001. It is a stage "C" and the lower serif of the primary "D" has damage.

For those of you unfamiliar with overlays, it is taking one picture, making it transparent and putting it on top of another picture, in this case, a known variety. The pictures are offset slightly to show the underlying position of the mintmark compared to the top position. A slight re-positioning to the west shows an exact match.
