Trying to put an acid dipped set together? The 1914-D will be ALOT easier than the 38-D.... Good Luck

Most coin dealers have them in quantity.

You can go to just about any dealer like Chris said. They sell them by the roll. The one around here was selling them for $4.50 a roll. I dont go there anymore because the coins I want he sells for outrageous prices.

"The Muir Collection" Im sure you seen his over the top prices on eBay

When I was looking at dateless buffalos, I only bought mintmarked ones. If you do that you should be able to find many of the tougher dates. You will get a lot of 1916-1919.

I'm not going through them since the are about 20 cent each. Mostly 1915-1925 with mintmarks. No key dates.

I picked up a few dateless buffalo's on Saturday.. Interestingly one of them is an S mintmark and has the last digit visible.. its a 3! Its also variety 2 as the five cents is recessed so I can be sure its not a 13 that way.

I'm considering this method to see if its a 1913s...
As a dateless nickel its pretty much worthless... !
if it were a 1913s.. valuable!
as a 13s that was revealed by this method... any value?

Actually, no. It's still legal tender. It's worth 5 cents.

I've seen acid-dated specimens of a 13-S type 2 sell for upwards of $40 on ebay lately.
