    1984 d ddo?

Hello all ive been continuing roll searching the same box where i got all my last posts from and im just wondering if this is a 1984 d 1do 005? I cant see the die marker on the reverse unfortunately due to crud. But i do see extra thickness in "in god" and "liberty" and maybe minor notching on liberty?

Looks like possible additional thickness on the "8" but I do not think there is appreciable added thickness on the "L."

Could be die wear or PMD.

If there is something I am not seeing, please set me true.

Looks like a normal cent to me. The 8 has damage and a few finger prints are showing.

I see very minor class 6, if even that. Probably just damage and wear- sorry.

Thank you all for your comments. I guess the majority rule overall concludes that this is just a normal cent. wasn;t sure since well the doubling coppercoins had listed is so subtle i wouldn't want to take a chance on my guess alone whether it being a double die or not.

I've seen some wider devices on the 1984 LIBERTY that I thought was collectable, but was deemed a normal cent.

I searched a bunch of the 1984 cents and found many in varying thickness, but common in the ones I found.

No reason to make a determination by yourself when multiple eyes are available.

I see what you mean I guess it would be thicker in certain areas though in the real double dies than the whole letters as youve shown.

Why the devices do seem a tad wider, none of it fits the characteristics of Class VI hub doubling. What is seen in IN GOD might be flattening from circulation, though I am not positive.

This clearly is die deterioration on IN GOD. The devices are Flattened out towards the rim showing the deterioration.
