I am looking for a digital camera with a macro mode to take pics of whole coins. (Not necessarily through a microscope), but able to be mounted to a Lighthouse stand, and take a decent picture of a whole coin.
I'm not trying to get a real expensive one right now, but I am willing to hear from anyone who has a used one for sale. Or can someone lead me to a place that sells with reasonable pricing?

Please PM me or post on this thread.

Thank you very much for any replies.

(Sorry if this post should be in 'Trading Post').

You might try going to a photo store, or a department store where you can experiment with cameras for sale. Take a bottle cap or something and photograph the coins. Take the model number down of any that you like.

Try Cnet.com and find the camera and see if you can locate a slightly older version of the camera and see if one is on eBay used. I find that Canon and Nikon make the best cameras. I suspect you can find a used model from two years or so ago that will do what you need.
