Lots of other doubled dies and RPM’s

This has been a 2 man enterprise. My brother moved in with us and joined forces with me in July. He sorts and pulls only dates and MM's I want to examine. This would include everything prior to 1973 and select dates after 1972, mostly FS numbers. By doing this, I am able to search and find a lot more better varieties to sell. He also pulls the wheats and documents every date, checks for WAM's & CAM's. We don't pay attention to new discoveries or minor varieties. So far, this has worked for us pretty well and it gets exciting. My wife and I and my brother share the excitement of a new find or the anticipation of what will turn up next.
Good luck to everyone in your own searches.

This post really goes to show how incredibly rare varieties truly are. 1:215,950
I commend you on a lot of hard work to bring some of these to light. And I like the team effort you've got going on. And while I'm in such a complimenting mood, id like to say that your eBay auctions have grown very professional. The photos and descriptions exceed all other dealers on the bay. Keep up the good work.

Yes, but a labor of love as they say. Experience and knowing what a doubled die is helps a lot too.

Exactly what I have come to realize. Some of these varieties are genuinely rare, which is why I scratch my head when I see ebay sellers selling some of them for $20.00 or less. To me, the coin is worth what you pay for it. If the price guide says $100.00 but you paid $10 then you have a $10 dollar coin, not a $100.00 coin.
Thanks for the compliments on my ebay listings. Been at it a while and as a buyer I know what I would want so I go from there. You'll also notice the complete lack of L@@K, WOW!!! etc.
Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

Lol, yes I have noticed that. I used it when I had PCGS MS coins, but don't like to other times.

Spending hours alone in dead silence looking under the scope is therapy to me. After raising 8 kids what can I say.:LOL_Hair:

Yeah, that would do it..and I spent 22 years at a desk looking at blueprints, so you can see why I like to cut down trees and play with my skidloader...the old back and neck need exercise:)

Goodness Rock! You are setting the gold standard for both the number of coins searched and the number of finds made! My motivation would always remain sky high if I was sitting on a gold mine like that! You are a shining example for the rest of us to follow! Keep up the great work!!
