I found this coin, don't know if it is purposely this way, like removed plating or minted this way. How much is a penny supposed to weigh? Thank you and sorry again for last post.:squigglemouth:

weights are pre-1982 3.11 grams, 1982 to present 2.50 grams
Can't really see anything from the photos. Most likely its either been re-plated or stripped of it's plating. Either or, it happened after it left the Mint and is considered damage and not an error.

Check the diameter also in relation to a normal cent.

I would think looking at the pics it is either plated or had the copper chemically altered to appear somewhat silver in appearance. Weight, as noted, is important.
