Found this 1984D sure looks like its an RPM. Checked out coppercoins didn't see anyone like it. What do you think?

We are gonna need closer pictures, but from what I can see, I would say MD or plating issues.

That does catch your eye, doesn't it? With all of the plating blisters on this coin, the thing to the east of the MM looks like one of them. The extra vertical bar on the inside looks like MD or another blister to me as well. Maybe someone else will have a more favorable opinion for you. Good luck!

I tend to agree with Simonm! looks to be MD.

Took a few more pictures a lot closer. There may even be a lower split serif? And like you said looks like a vertical bar inside.

Much better photos. Looks like it is cutting into the device, and I am not seeing the split serif. In an east/west situation like this, you wouldn't expect one anyway.

Take a look at your last picture. Notice the 98 have the same doubling in the same direction as your Mint mark? This is MD or Machine Damage very common on most 82-present coins.
