I recently found a second one of these and after sharing it, I got a PM of someone wishing it be sold. I have no Idea of value. And would wish to sell it to someone in LCR knowing that they would be less likely to take advantage of my ignorance. But value is my biggest issue, to sell or not sell?

To see other images of these they can be found in my Albumns.

There is no guide available with this one listed. I have sold 4 of these over the past 2 years. I would think that if both of these are indeed RDV-006, hard to see the detail on the initials, I would think you could get about $150 for the one on the left, and maybe $200-$250 for the one on the right. This would be raw value. If you were to get them slabbed by ANACS, I feel you could command 150% or more for the prices I suggested.

My guess would have been in the $200 range and I couldn't find any completed listings on eBay for reference.Agree that slabbing raises the premium.

If they ever get listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide, they will be worth a lot more. They may be worth holding on to.

I placed a price on the lesser of the two, I believe it to be fair, but if it does not sell I will two have rarities in my books and may be worth more (or less) as time passes. Thanks to all for helping.

The problem is with Brad's answer is that a new CPG may never come out.

1988 P coins

The subject of this thread is 1988 D coins. Giving us prices for philly minted coins doesn't really help us out, as the Denver rdv-006's are considerably rarer.

Crow: The general consensus has been that the 1988 with reverse of 1989 from Denver is harder to find than the ones from Philadelphia. I am not sure why, or if it will always be that way, but for now that is the way it seems.

You're inadvertently throwing the whole thread off. Please don't cut and paste information and images from Wexler's site without permission from John. You are more than welcome to link to his page, or quickly paraphrase. You may not be aware, but we have a lot of information on the forums as well as the main site concerning Lincoln transitional design varieties.

I'll give you 2 1988 "P" rdv-006 for 1 1988 "d" rdv-006 and throw in a 1988 rdv-005 and a 1989 rdv-006 for free
traded a 1999 wam for my 1988 D rdv-006 and bought my 1988 P rdv-006
got them both from friends on this site

D are Harder then P to find, locate, hunt down, or buy....this is why no Ebay info available ...the P have sold..not that many D have been offered up
