After reading lots of posts, I just bought a cheapie usb digital scope w/ 3mp. Got it from my favorite place "EBATES" Only paid 50.00 free ship & 5% cash back! Been a member since 2008 & they are great, they cut your checks quarterly. Great for buying flowers, gifts for moms, wives etc. Usually get 20% cash back for those! Pennys, Sears, Electronic Stores etc can be accessed there. First discovered them when we were eligible for up grade on phones from verizon (all carriers avail) Verizon store wanted 150.00 & 2yr., Best Buy was 100.00 & 2 yr., Ebates free 300.00 phones for both of us & 12.50 ea. So I got 2-300.00 phones for free & they paid me 25.00! Check them out & you can tell them theresa naticchia sent ya so I get more rewards :tinysmile_twink_t:. I was using my little Kodak Easyshare, was lucky the lense fit perfectly on my microscope! But could never get a full coin shot. So for 50.00 it's worth a try, can't afford a "Stereo" one. If this doesn't work well, I'll probably buy another Kodak, it served me well for many years, then to my surprise it fit the scope. Hope I'll be posting some pics soon!

How do these specs sound for a beginning? Please, I tried to get better than some mentioned. AM Scope way out for me! They have them if you type in search on top right of Ebates, if you want to compare prices you've seen or paid. All it takes is an email to look

I had one. It was ok but I bought an AMscope just a few days later. The problem with these is lighting. The light that is with it washes out what you are trying to shoot. The way it is designed makes it hard to use alternative light sources.
