    1954 dd rpm

I suppose this is just another mm-001.

I'm uncertain, though, because of the dirt in the center of the mm.
The upper part of the 2nd "D" does appear to be more pronounced
than what I've found recently. I see no evidence of a 3rd.

Please scrutinize and provide an educated opinion.

Could this be (finally) simply another variation?

    Thank you all.

Looks like it. Just keep in mind that doubled dies and RPMs are 2 different varieties.
You are probably not seeing the 3rd D because it could e a late die state example.
    Keep up the hunt!

You had me there, for a minute. Now I think I
see what you mean. I've been using DD or DDD
to indicate how many D's there are visible in the RPM,
not to mean double die. I'm only adding to the confusion.

Sorry about that. I'll try and be more specific in the future.

I don't think I'm capable, yet, of discerning most double dies.

These 54-D RPM's jump right out at me. They're easy.

      Thanks for the reminder.

You can designate how many Ds you see by typing D/D, D/D/D, etc.

Curious about the anom appearing on the stem of the 9.
