    44 With a stamped over gouge on Obverse

    Best description I could come up with. Pictures are a bit better I hope. Sorry REVERSE... not obverse -- late night....

      I see a lamination on the reverse. But not sure what you mean on the obverse?

          Arjohn, the obverse is the side with Lincoln's head, and the reverse is the side with the wheats.

              OK -- I am learning so much -- so that is called a delamination.. Thanks!! I was going through coins So fast I was surprised I saw it... And the coin is pretty clean!

                It means I juxtapose that all the time. Which is funny because back in about 1958-59 my Uncle (who was a numismatist) showed me his pride and joy -- a 55 DDO..... That was what got me interested in coins. Yet I still mix the two up!!
