1987D Doubled Obverse?

I can't match it to any of the three listed on CC. Yes I'm aware of the signs of die deterioration and planchet leisures but, nonetheless this feels like it may be a new DDO. how do you see it? I'm talking dat, MM and possibly parts of LIBERTY.

Yes I know Roger. I was in a hurry to get out of the house and realized only on the road that 87 was still hand punched. There is what appears to be a slight split on the upper serif of the MM. It may be both RPM and DDO. Then again,......

I think the date took a few hits on the 8, giving it a similar look to doubled dies like the 1980P DDO, but unfortunately I think it is just coincidental damage. I am not seeing any notching that would indicate a doubled die.

I agree with Simon that the date is probably coincidental damage, maybe a tough of MD. It couldn't hurt to ask Bob if he want to see it in person though, just in case.
