Is this a thin planchet or PMD. The coin weighs 2.5g and is substatially smaller than another 51-D, the L of Liberty is almost missing and it doesnt look to be ground down and is even all the way around...

The edges were ground off, probably by someone trying to use it as a dime in a vending machine....I used to do it as a kid, and it did work :D

If you stack it with a dime I bet it matches pretty well. Some kid probably fooled a vending machine with it. The older machines were simpler, the modern ones would catch it.

Just stacked it with a dime and its close but the cent is still a little larger... So is everyone saying its been ground down? If yes is there a value or just put it in the damaged wheat bin?
