more interesting than finding an S mint in circ, it's that it's a wide A M.

The 1998-2000 proofs were minted normally with the "Wide AM" I believe...that is why the 1998-S CAM for instance is a rare coin.

All 2000S proofs should be Wide AM, although the recent Cherrypicker's Guide listed a 2000S Proof Wide AM in error.

The only proof that was supposed to have the close AM is 1993-S. Why...I don't know, but it's true.
