    Official Error Type

I run across alot of these. But I would like to know how to officially refer to errors such as this? Is this a Die Crack or Lamination?

I'd agree that it is a lamination, as it looks like the planchet metal itself is separating or peeling apart. If it were a die crack, the resulting mark would show as a raised area similar to any of the devices (letters, numerals, etc.).

But this literally is my first post ever in this community, so take my thoughts with a large grain (nugget, rock?) of salt!!
