Going through a bag of circulated 2010, 11 and 12's today, I have been saving up for a cold Saturday. I looked on Coppercoins and on Wexler's site, I can not find a match for this one. This is the first 2011 DDO I have found in circulation.

Thanks!
Chuck

Would you please tell us exactly what you are seeing? You state it is a DDO, but also include pics of the reverse. Maybe if you tell us exactly what you are seeing, it will help us make a better determination.

I am seeing notching on both the obv and rev, the lower left part of the "T" in cent and the designers initials have notching. I also see notching in the date. There is a die chip on the bottom right of the leg in "T" and other die damage on the top left of the shied. I can not match up die scratches from any other die markers on your listings.

Thank you very much for expanding on what you are seeing. Unfortunately, even if they were actual hub doubled dies, they would be pretty minor, and probably not listable. With that being said, I am rather intrigued by the initials JFM. Would you consider sending it to me to have a look at under the scope?

Sure I will mail it out this week and i just found a 2012 and the only thing on it is some serious notching on the JFM much better than the 2011. Here are a few pics with it.

Something about the notching doesn't look right to me...it almost looks like light reflection giving the appearance of notching. Does the notching appear if you angle the light differently as well?

I turned the coin completely and I see the same thing at all angles.

I have a bag of these years 10, 11, 12 saved up and I do not see this notching on the others but I only went through about 300 coins.

I saw this on my phone and I too thought it was the reflection giving the illusion of notching. So I checked it out on my computer and now I'm positive this is just the reflection of the lighting/surroundings. There is no extra thickness and there is no distortion. Keep up the hunt! When you come across a ddo/ddr, it will jump out at you.

I will post more pictures in the daylight when I do not need room light. Its funny that the other coins did not have notching, the hunt never stops.

The light source is terrible sorry. One thing you have to understand is when taking photos of coins only use one light source.

It might be lighting feedback as suggested, but being Bob has asked to see it, any question can be cleared up if he gets a chance to view it.

Ya I looked at this coin again and there is notching, it looks just like the 2012 posted on coin community, I will get some better pictures today, thanks!

Is there a way to turn off the lights? You need to not use their 'ring-light' and use an alternate light source.
