You don't mean 1983D, do you? I've not heard of a 93 either.

I have looked at " a detailed analysis of Lincoln cent varieties 1909-2009" by Mr. Crawford....I find no listing to any double ear in the years of 1983,1992,1993 for P or D mints... the 1988 P double ear is not listed on this disk either....that being said... it is in "die variety news" I believe ....which I have copies of all of the "die varieties news" that were produced... If you can remember about when his "find" was I may be able to look and see if it is in a DVN :).... but I just have never heard of a 1993 double ear....:squigglemouth:....
I stand corrected....Thanks Alex...I looked...but looked at P not D...ohhhhh welllll

The 1993D is my coin and as Alex mentioned, it is 1993D-1DO-001. This one is hardly exciting, but it is there none-the-less.

Well, maybe my wandering through the desert dry spell is starting to wear off. Came across this Lincoln cent (http://lincolncentresource.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14792#) today while searching circulated rolls from local banks and is a new listing in my files now assigned as 1993 1c CDDO-002. Exhibits partial remnants of a doubled earlobe. Nothing major but the remnants are still quite visible.

Top photo is an overall wide-angle view taken at 10x so as to give you an idea if searching with a loupe.

Bottom photo closer view of the partial doubled earlobe remnants.

Good luck in your searching endeavors and may you find what you're looking for.

OK... I have found it in DVN...however....I CAN NOT POST THE PICS...copyright and all....Mr Crawford has let me know exactly that I can not post any of the pics or info off of any of the dvds or PDF files

but I can give out the info in my own words....
DVN #26 JUL/AUG 2011...
LISTED AS 1993 P CDDO-2

TO ME IT LOOKS A LITTLE STRONGER THAN THE 2006 BUT IS CLOSER TO THE EAR...

DIE GOUGE BETWEEN "O" AND "D" IN "GOD"
HEAVY DIE SCRATCHES RUNNING EAST AND WEST AT "TAT" OF "STATES"
HEAVY DIE SCRATCHES RUNNING EAST AND WEST AT THE BOTTOM OF BAY 5 AND 6

We still need photos of the coin in question for confirmation of the doubled ear, it is tough to go on simple word alone.

Hi Simonm, i do not have the camera system to give the coin a chance on here to be even confirmed as the doubled earlobe, this is why i asked if someone had a picture of it. if you would like i can send one to ya so maybe you can get a good photo of it, until i get a good stereo scope to get some of the pictures of the coins i have in my personal collection and i have a lot of them to show to people on here, just never got into photography but i am getting the equipment to do so, then maybe i can showcase some of them here. i am trying, been doing this a long time and i put a lot of effort into my collection.
