This S is driving me nuts.

I keep looking at this S in STATES and keep thinking DDR but also thinking it took a perfect hit. The camera died before I had a chance to take pictures of other sections of the coin but it seems if it is a DDR the S is the strong point.

With the date being 1964, there is a great chance of it being a DDR. When your camera is up and running again try taking shots of other areas that appear doubled. If you happento find any markers on CC that match your coin as well, that's even better.

You have it right.
It's a perfect little hit on the tail of the S that makes it look split.

Other devices should also show the same notching if it were a doubled die. On just one device, it probably is not a doubled die. Sorry.

The top serif of the first S in states should also be split if its the 64 DDR.
