difficult to grade by just a photo but wanted to get some ideas from the rest of you on, what grade you would give this one? Thank you for your thoughts and comments. Please comment on this new thread.

Check out the rub on Lincoln's face. I don't think an XF-45 would have that much wear. (But maybe I'm wrong.)

What do you mean by rub? Do you mean cleaned? If so, it was not. It's pictured in the state it was found which is why I question your thoughts on the grade and helps very much...thank you again.

Yep...what Peter said. I don't at all think the coin was cleaned. It is original from what I can see, but I do see wear on the high points of Lincoln's face...the cheekbone, for example, indicating moderate circulation.

This is excellent. Although I've seen pics of xf, au and etc. examples your description (Peter/Simon) helps me to learn and know what too look for of what otherwise I would fail to consider. Much appreciated.
