Hello again,
I have had this coin lying around for a while. It has strange doubling on the last 8 of the date.
This is what I am seeing in hand and I hope my pictures captured at least some of this... There is a small raised area to the right of the 8 in the area between the upper and lower curve. In addition, there is a small raised curved line within the lower digit and finally just below the lower loop as well. To me, this has characteristics of a minor doubled die. Probably too minor to list, but I found it interesting at least. I posted several shots from different angles. Fortunately, the coin is in pretty nice shape of I would have missed these anomaly's entirely. What to you guys think?
