No mistaking that one. Nice pull. I still don't have one of those, and I'm always tempted to just buy one, but I can't help but think that one day I'll find one in the wild.

Once you give in and buy one, I bet you will find one within the next week.

Very nice, and I bought one certified when it first came out. But yours is so much more DOUBLED then any I have ever seen for that year.

Eddie,
I hate to get off topic here, but it is extremely important that you realize something. If you bought a certified copy of this doubled die, then the doubling on it will be EXACTLY the same on that coin as the coin in this thread. The doubling of a particular doubled die does NOT vary coin to coin. The die will make every coin it makes exactly the same, with respect to the doubling. Hope this helps. Take some time with the search engine here on the site to learn about how exactly the minting process works. It will help you immensely. Good luck,
Will

Hello Will,

You had told me a while back, that a Double die would be the same on all of them. I have three 1995 double dies (Lincoln Head), and on one of them is more doubled then the other two. I'm just trying to understand on how this works. Also, Why on a lot of my double dies (Hub Doubling), it's also on the reverse as well? I really appreciate your input.

Sincerely,

Eddie Bourquin

2 different coins struck by the same doubled die will show the exact same doubling. Perhaps you have two different doubled dies, such as 1DO-001 and 1DO-002. Ultimately, we won't be able to give you an exact answer to your question without clear pictures of your coins.

Lucian - I don't understand the reasoning behind your statement. It's not like they're minting these any more.

What I really like about this coin is the "Die State". Earlier die states look SOOOOOO sweet!

The same die should be the same but you might have a different variety on one coin or one might also have MD on the obverse or reverse. As the die state progresses the doubling might look less sharp or harder to see. Also some people take awesome photos, they use good lighting and the pic might show the doubling so well that it looks better than what shows on your coin in your setup.
