AAagghhh! Yours is just like mine- (the one listed on CC)... it's in an ANACS "genuine" holder as damaged, but AU55 Details.

Well, I didn't show the reverse on this one....and for good reason. Chewed all up. Going on auction Sunday night for $.99 cents

That's a heck of a deal! Sorry, I wasn't trying to focus on the negative- it's a super, super rare coin!

Yes, I know. But with the reverse the way it is, I have no choice but to "start" at .99 cents and see where it goes from there.

Rock even though the coin is beat up, it still has a premium yet, because the darn thing is so hard to locate, even harder then 72 die 4 in my opinion as i never found it yet and i have found the 72 die 4, i might have to bid on it.

thank you
George

Nice find even in such a condition! I keep looking for another one since mine was VLDS which made it hard to identify the die variety. Sold it for a decent premium with the letter from Wexler stating which die variety it was but the coin was still in pretty good condition. Good luck on the sell! It is definitely a rare one.

I'd say this is your best find, Rock. And I know you've had many, many great varieties pulled from circulation. It is actually a very strong doubled die for those unaware. On par with the Philadelphia ddos for the year, but many times harder to find.Yes, it's too bad that its in rough shape, but it is a great rarity nonetheless. No one should be ashamed to have this example in their collection. I'm confident that one day this one will be recognized as a significant variety in the series and given a CPG number. Good luck to the collector that grabs this up. Hope it stays in the forum.
