still ripping through this 26 pounds of wheats when this this cought me attention, ooowww pretty coin! Then there was the an other cent that I can't help my self to but get an educated opinion on, see it next.
Please let me know witch set of pic are better, trying to cut down on the amount of pics posted of each coin, and want you to get the best. Thanks

There's no such thing as a 51S proof. This is just a red business strike with some dings.

Polished or cleaned..and proofs were from the Philly mint that year anyway.

It just so shinny and the color I haven't seen before. I've got like 200 of this one coin none look as this one does.

Okay, now I get where the title of the 1957D thread comes from. Not that I didn't sleep at night, but I really wondered why all the information in the post was about a 1957D and the title said something about a 1951S.

Short answer here - this is not a 'red' mint state coin. It is harshly cleaned, and doesn't look even remotely like a proof. Again...research. Google '1953 proof cent' in images and look at what comes up. You'll see for yourself why your question here in this thread generates 'face-palm' reactions.

I want to help...but you have to want to help yourself - we'll get there.
