Here's a Top-50 RPM, the 1949S-1MM-001. This is an example of an RPM akin to a fine wine, ie it got better with age. As the die wore, stresses in the die caused by attempts to grind the mis-punched mintmarks were relieved, causing more and more of the secondary punching(s) to be revealed. This example is die stage C/D, LDS, with the secondary MM showing strongly.
