Trying camera..Test

Just trying camera to see if i can get full picture of coin..Just learning camera so give me time...Your thoughts please.

Not bad. Cropping is necessary, though.

Also try different backgrounds and see how the picture turns out. A good program for picture is Picasa it is quick and very easy. Also see if your camera has a Micro setting. Pictures look good.

I have it set to Micro but i may be doing something wrong..I will check on that other program..Thanks

Irfan View is a great software too.... The designer keeps improving it and the Image toolbox is awesome!

The micro allows you to get closer to the coin. Give it a try and keep playing around with it.

Very important to have the camera set to take pics at its highest megapixel resolution.
And try to avoid taking pics while holding camera(or coin) in hand, especially with close-ups.

That's great! Now in Picasa right click picture and make a copy. Take copy and crop date and mint mark.

Much better image and you see how putting it on a neutral background helps isolate the coin and allows the eye to better focus in on it.

That's not to great of a looking coin but that's the way it came out of the bag..Still not a bad picture for a beginner on a camera

It's a Sony a230 with zoom lense..Walmart brand what else
