I'm pretty sure this is a DDO (eyelid), but I can't seem to match it up. The top lid looks like a winner. The place under the bottom lid looks good under a loupe, but in the pic it looks like damage. Could it be a new one or am I overlooking it?

If you want any other pics let me know. I just don't want to flood the thread with posts since I can only do one per post with this phone. Thanks!

No small task attributing this coin, especially given that there are so many minor hits in and around the region of concern. Add to that the fact that there are so many eyelid-type DDOs for that year and it's gonna take a little time.

Do you have some top candidates?

Looks like it could be a extra eyelid

No, the only one that is close is 017. I knew the dings would be a problem. Who knows, an absolutely perfect hit and you have nothing.

It could be a hit. I would wait for Bob and the new CC to be ready and get his view.

Thanks Jason. When is the new site going to be up?

With all the hits on the coin, it would be pretty tough IMO to attribute what you are seeing to a doubled die. Get Bob's take on it and go from there.

This could be an extra eyelid, but there is too much damage around the eye to properly attribute it. I would return it based on that.

As far as
When is the new site going to be up?, I already posted this info a month or so ago. You need to read this thread:

Thanks Bob. I guess I should go to the homepage from time to time. My bookmark is set to the search page. Sorry.
