Just found this. See tie & neck. Wondering is it a DD, Strike Doubling, or cud. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Well I can answer one question. It can't be a cud because they are on the rim only.

I think it's strike doubling confined to that area.

Most of the time if you see it there, it's on the date too but sometimes it can show up in one area and not another.

Very interesting coin. I disagree with it being machine doubling. The anomalies are "extra" and do not cut into the normal design. I would say they have to be the result of die damage. Can't think of what else they could be.

I agree with Will. I have seen this on several wheat cents from the 1950s(the neck area) but this is the first I've seen this effect on the bowtie. It's too crisp to be abrasion and definitely not a clash or strike doubling.
