Interesting, some sort of trail like marks.
Could be trails or from polishing.


Is that another line from the center bar of the E? It has a different direction than the others.

As bold as those two lines coming from the W are, I would think we'd see additional evidence elsewhere if these were trails. They end rather abruptly as well, whereas I think trails would fade into oblivion with a little more subtlety.

Let's see if BJ chimes in. He's the trails expert.

I personally do not believe these are trails. Appears to be scratches of some sort.
