2000 weak date, liberty, in god we

I found this today and it looks to me that wear isn't the cause. Does anyone have thoughts on what happened.

That's from a clogged die.
People call them greasers because the die clogs with a thick residue of grease and metal bits.
So it's struck through a grease clogged die.
