Willbrooks said the 1960 D small date is plentiful when I posted my first find. I believe he is correct because I think I found three more. Does anyone agree or disagree? Thanks, Joel

Yes, those are all small dates.
The Philly SD is much scarcer- it goes for a couple of dollars in BU Red.Chris & Charity Welch- LIVEANDIEVARIETIES

Good luck, Joel. I don't understand how the 1960P SD is so scarce in circulation, and yet only worth a couple dollars. I've only found one in true circulation out of nearly one million cents. Did they horde them back in the day?-Sean

Yes, they hoarded the small dates (P and D) and there was a time that the Ps were worth BIG bucks.
I think the reason they dropped was that so many people thought they were "investing" and hoarded rolls in the roll hoarding boom days. Now those hoarded rolls are available so the prices are lower.
The same thing repeats, like now people hoard rolls of the 2009 types. I bet that even with the lower mintages of each type of 2009 cents that people hoarded more of each type than most normal years. In 50-100 years those rolls will still be available. The rolls that go up in price the most are the mundane stuff that nobody saves rolls of.Comment

I think Ed is right. That also explains why GEM+ graded large dates are worth as much or more(67) than small dates. They were hoarded in unc rolls.“What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.”Comment
