Hi to all copper hoarders I have been collecting error and rare varieties for about 11 yrs but coins over all 25 yrs on and off. Right know I have been spending a lot of time searching Wheat and Lincoln cents. After reading about sms coins went through some old coin boxes I had received when I was in grade school back in Ill. class of 69 but I'AM that old. Low and be hold I found 2 full sets 1964,1967 in old snap tight holders I have been researching them to see if they are authentic like in Wexler and Flynn reference book on Lincoln Cents. Will have pic. posted at a later date. hope for some feed back can't get a handle on these coins are they business strikes or the real deal$. Roger

To my knowledge, all of the '64 sms coins came out of the estate of former mint director , Eva Adams.
There are perhaps a dozen known (+/- a few) for each denomination. They are thought to be experimental strikes for the upcoming sms of 65-67. I owned one a few years ago, a 1964 sms Roosevelt dime. It had a razor sharp strike, displayed squared rims and heavy, heavy die polishing.
You probably have some sharp business strikes.

Welcome to the forum!
Odds are, as noted, they are business strikes (not SMS). Especially the 1964.
