    1955S Retained Cud? Reverse.

Is this a Retained Cud? Got a 1955S obw roll from the coin shop and found about 5 of these. The die crack goes rim to rim. That's what makes me think it could be. Also found a couple 1955s-1DO-001. And about 3 or 4 nice BIE's in the same roll. Just not sure about possible retained cud. Thx for the help.

Looks like the reverse is a small retained cud. At first I didn't see any displacement of the die, but the wheat line as 9:00 shows a slight displacement. Interesting die cracks. Probably BJ Neff will be glad to see this one. It is just slightly before a cud happens.
Richard S. Cooper Some have asked about my images I use, and I'm glad to say I've completed a DVD of these. Ask if you are interested. Newer members like these.

From my limited but rapidly learned knowledge -- I think is is a retained cud. Certainly a die crack, and as you say it does seem to go from rim to rim....

Thx. If you look at the lower crack right at the rim. It looks like the rim doesn't line up. Is that considered displacement?
