My first of this variety found in the wild, the big 2004 doubled die reverse. I was quite impressed on the strength of the distortion on the reverse lettering:

For those having troubling picking this one out, I'd focus my eyes on the dot to the right of "Unum." It's pretty thick, almost turning the dot into a line:

And the reverse stain isn't nearly as bad in hand.
It's funny. I own one of these in NGC 66rd, but I appreciate it so much more pulling one from a bunch of crusty cents from the bank. I guess the doubling seems to jump out at you more after you look through about 5,000 normal 2004's over the years before finding one that's special.

Nice pull Dennis ! Don't forget that this is a DDO/DDR combo.

I go by the doubling (or not) on LIBERTY to determine but my guess is that its the 002.

I know this is a mated obverse doubled die and reverse ddr, but I believe I've heard of either one or the other being paired with a non-doubled opposing die. Anyone familiar with specifics?

Just the DDR-002

I love the oval dots. That tells me that is a DDR.

This is definitely not 002. Doubling on the obverse shows that it's 001, along with all the markers.

I agree 2004P-1DR-001. Note the die scratches under the UNUM and the "U" (first "U") die scratches on the upper right side of the uprights?
