    1983D-1MM-001?

    1983D-1MM-001?
It looks like it could be a 1983D-1MM-001. However, it could just be blistered plating. Your observations are welcome.

Your coin does not exhibit the split serifs that make the 1983D 1MM-001 what it is. All I am seeing is blistered plating from early stages of zinc rot. The coin on coppercoins.com also is showing split plating at the mint mark, but don't confuse this with part of the variety. That isn't part of the die.

Looks to be some deep gas bubbles in the zinc... Eventually the mm will fall out leaving a huge hole!!!
