This Formative Years 2009P may be different from any of copper.coins (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=2009&die_id=2009p1dr050&die_state=mds) examples. It seems close to -50, but the portion of the thumb that is doubled on mine appears to be more NW of the -50. Am I splitting hairs on this one? Help is always appreciated.

Uli, you are CORRECT!! Thank you!! I completely overlooked -009. I have checked it out and found a die marker. Did you know this one because you have it or did you go to CC or Wexler and search? I hope you just knew it and didn't have to spend time doing what I should have done more thoroughly.

I recognized it wasn't the one you thought it was, but I couldn't remember the number; I had to look. Nice find in the wild!

Nice find... Are you sure it is 009... To me the book pages on yours appear thicker that the one listed on CC... That may only be the lighting???

I see what you mean, Jim, but I have no explanation for that. I did find one of the 3 die markers. It is the heavy die flow line at the bottom right of the vest.

It is most likely the lighting then... Thanks!!!

I agree that it is 009. Although I am not positive, none of the doubled dies for this series affected the thickness of the book pages.
