Trying ti identify the loopty-doo above the mintmark? Anything to it?

Looks like a die abrasion... It is in line with the other part protruding from the 9... Looks like the worker skipped lso known as a loopty-doo :LOL_Hair:

Personally, I think loopty-doo should be added to the glossary! :nerd:

Here is another 1964-D that may have been infested with some of that holiday, third shift, "loopty-doo".
The short distance between the 9 and the D may be a record!
Anybody have any thoughts?

No photo showed at the time, but there are no 'records' for distance between the date and MM. Anything below the date is considered within limits since the mint marks were hand punched at that time..
