1963 Lincoln Error "Missing 96"

This is going to be my first post, just joined and am looking forward to read what others are saying about everything!
I have a 1963D Lincoln Cent that I found about 50 years ago when I was around 13 or 14 years old and would like to hear from anyone who might know something about it as have never been able to find a listing for it. The 9 and 6 are all but missing as those two numbers were struck VERY lightly, if you have any info on this "missing 96" 1963D Lincoln cent please let me know, I've been wondering about this one for 50 years and would love to hear something about it.

A picture helps but most likely it's from a grease filled die so it's an error not a variety so there won't be a specific listing for it.
In that context grease probably means a thick paste of grease and metal particles not clean grease. It can build up and clog any part of a die until they clean it or it comes off on it's own.

Down around "THE 20TH CENTURY" bellow the pictures you can note that the first 2 digits of the date were put on the galvano starting in 1907
That would be your "19"
Coins before that MAY be able to have a problem with those digits.
Any coins missing with those first 2 digits after that date... the only explanation I can find would be the filled die, or post strike damage
