1992 split on 9 in date ?

There seems to be a split on the first 9 on the date and also is the tail of the first 9 thicker at the bottom ,or is there a die chip there ?

If you look at the thickness of entire length of the tail of the 9, you will note that the thickness is compromised where the "split" begins, so I will have to say it is either ejection doubling or a contact mark.

Pretty common to see machine doubling on the 1992 cents. I see your blob, may be a chip, but here again, Zincolns are know for bubbles and blobs.
