It has a full rim on the plain side - not a MAD (I think)
The extra rim area has a concave edge.
It weighs 3 grams - no extra metal.
What is it?

This one gets me often. It is a Cent that had been encased.

Nice pics, it shows all the tell tales of having been encased.
The concave edge from being crushed and the extra rim from the edge of the holder.
It was encased like these then removed:

You wouldn't think that there were that many times a cent was encased and then released later. But boy these things pop up too often for it not to have happened with frequency.
