1968 DDR or MD

Hi All,

I was helping a friend go through some rolls and came across this coin. I think this likely just MD, but hadn't seen it this strong before. Thanks for your advice!

Looks pretty flat to me brother. I struggle with these too. I usually go with MD where no notching is present like this one.

I agree. I usually take the stance in cases like this as it's likely not unless otherwise verified. The "split" at the top of the C is what is getting me. The separation looks raised. Here's an additional picture. The arrow shows from where the light is coming from.

When the doubling takes away from the normal size of the devices, it is MD.
