I WAS LOOKING THROUGH MY QUARTERS FROM THE MARKET TODAY AND FOUND SOME WEIRD LOOKING "COOL IM SURE" STUFF WHATS THE BEST COLOR TO TAKE PICS ON OF QUARTERS

I use black for most shots. Not shiny or slick though. The less reflective the better.

I'm with Roller: I take black and white shots with quarters (and nickels) + a diffuser cap OR indirect light on my scope if they're brilliant, shiny, etc. on a black background.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS GOING WITH BLACK...I DONT HAVE ONE OF THOSE FANCY CAMERAS AND DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THE PAINT EDITING THINGY....WISH I COULD THOUGH...XX THANKS ALL AGAIN

Agree with the above - something that is not reflective. I use a brown plastic mat for the background of almost all of my natural light photos. Sorry for being so late to reply. Please post your photos - I would like to see them.

I use black gaffers tape for my background on almost all my shots. The exception is if I am shooting something that is colorfully toned, then I will use white paper so I can color balance in post processing to show the true colors of the toning.
