Yesterday I found an 1895 IHC and today I found a 1909 V.D.B. in extra fine condition. Both coins were from the same brick and I am only just started the 2nd set of 10 rolls. The VDB doesn’t look quite right to my very inexperienced eyes. It is missing the period after the B and the period after the D looks like it took a hit. What do you think?

PS: I have now found 5 1909 VDBs and 1 1909 in bank rolls. One 1909 VDB that I found in January also turned out to be a DDO-001 thanks to grnwavdav who saw the DD that I had not!!

Looks genuine to me, Larry. It is not terribly unusual for the dots to be missing, presumably due to a filled die.

I'm gonna say that's in better condition than EF. Awesome find.

Pretty amazing for a brick find. Heck, that chances of finding one that nice in a bag of all wheats is slim to none!

That is awesome! Quick question...what is a "brick"?

McCoin, it's a box of 50 rolls of Lincoln cents you can pick up at almost any bank at face value, $25.

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. I haven't had much luck with "bricks" in my town :/ The last one was all 2015's... I'm going to try to pick up some from some smaller towns around me.. would I have better luck doing that?
