The ear is the center of attention on a 1997P Lincoln. This is not -001 (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1997&die_id=1997p1do001&die_state=mds). Is it PSD?

Looks normal to me as well. I can't tell you how many 1997s I have looked through, pulled to the side, and believed to be FS-101. On closer inspection, they all turn out to be normal coins. Never did fond one!

I have found several 001s. Though ones in high grade are scarce around here.

I agree that it must be normal. I will try to get a better pic to show the deep crease across the lower ear lobe that I was trying to refer to when I asked if it was PSD. Thanks to all who responded. Larry

I have seen that crease on many different year Lincolns... Since it is incuse I wonder if it is related to a coin rolling machine??? I have seen damage toward the rim because of the machines!!!
